Junior Division Now 6 Teams!

Due to popular demand and in an effort to increase competition and floor time, we've expanded the Junior division to 6 teams.

To accomodate these changes we ask that all Junior players turn in their jerseys prior to their first game if they have been placed on a new team.

All rosters and schedule can be viewed here on our website, or you can click HERE to see the Junior division. Just remember to click on the JUNIOR 6 TEAM division as this is the new division created that will have the full schedule.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation in making the league fun and more competitive for everyone!

If you have any questions or do not see your name on one of the rosters, please contact info@rollerhockey.net immediately so we can make sure you are placed on a team.

Player Package Pickup Date Announced

Player Package and Equipment Swap Dates

Halton Roller Hockey is very happy to announce the date for our Player Package Pickup which means the season is so close we can taste it!

The pick-up will be held Saturday April 14th, from 10am-3pm.

As usual, the player package pickup will be held at:

Corbett's Source For Sports

450 South Service Rd. West, Oakville, ON

For those who are new to our league, the 'Player Package Pickup' is an opportunity for all of the players involved with our league to get their league schedule and waterbottle, and provides an opportunity to speak to our league owners and conveners in person prior to the beginning of the season. This is not the date of the first game however the league begins the following day, Sunday April 15th.  So if you can't make the package pickup, don't worry as you can pick up everything at your first game.

Equipment Swap

Once again, as a favour to our league members, Corbett's Source For Sports is holding a roller hockey equipment swap, where league members are provided the opportunity to buy and sell used roller hockey equipment on consignment. The sale will only be held on Saturday during the player package pickup. Equipment dropoff will be held on the two days previous to the sale (April 12th & 13th).  Corbett's will only accept inline hockey skates, girdles and cover-all pants.

As always, we cannot express our gratitude enough to Corbett's and their staff for graciously hosting this event for us.  We hope to see you all on April 14th!!

2012 Season Fast approaching!!!

With the 2012 registration well under way and leagues already filling up, we would like to take this opportunity to make some announcements, answer a few questions and make the website easy to navigate so you can get what you're looking for.

REP TEAMS

First and foremost, Rep tryouts will be held the weekend of April 28th.  Attendance is mandatory if you wish to play on a rep team. If there are circumstances that will prevent a player from trying out, then the absence must be approved by the league, and evaluation of the player will be done in conjunction with league officials.

We are also still accepting applications for Rep Coaches at all ages.  Some coaches have already indicated that they would like to return, however if you have an interest in coaching any agegroup please email us at info@rollerhockey.net with your name, agegroup (by birthyear) you'd like to coach and a short outline of your experience and qualifications.

Good Luck to ALL our Coyotes this season!!!!

Halton Roller Hockey is also still accepting applications for timekeepers as well as referees for paid positions.  If you are interested in timekeeping for Halton Roller Hockey, please email us at info@rollerhockey.net (must be at least 14 years of age).

Finally, we are returning to Oakville arena for the 2012 season and although we wanted to keep 2 rinks, we are still very excited about the atmosphere that Oakville arena has provided Halton Roller Hockey for years.  This is where many of us learned to love the game, and you will too!!!
